Life is What You Make It | Coffee With Chandy

Sooooo….I’m back! It’s been a tad bit since I’ve posted for my “Coffee With Chandy” series on Monday mornings, hasn’t it? Life has been, well, a little crazy to say the least for the past couple of weeks. If you haven’t heard the news, you can read about it here. And if you’ve already heard, I’m sure you can relate to what we’re feeling & going through…somewhat…maybe…just a little bit? I hope so 🙂

We truly have been seeking the positive in all of this. When life hands you lemons, you make the best darn fresh lemonade you’ve ever had! Am I right? Yep, life sure is tough sometimes. But when you focus on the bigger picture instead of the little speed bump in the road, it makes the journey more worthwhile & you tend to see things a little more clearly. In long run, we know 100% for a fact that this is going on because it’s only going to make us stronger in our walk with the Lord, stronger people individually and a stronger couple overall. We’ll look back years from now and say…”remember that one time…”?  <3

Daniel is doing great after surgery and recovering well! I will spare you guys a ton of details because I will be updating you guys again this Friday regarding what our next steps are regarding Daniels recovery – so today’s post..I’m just kind of writing it on a whim. I wanted to touch on a few things:

1. I am DEFINITELY still booking weddings for 2016. We’re positive that Daniel will be back to 100% in just a couple of months & we will be able to close this chapter in our lives & look back on it and smile…and say, hey! We made it through that!!! 2016 is going to be an amazing year and I’m SO looking forward to working with all of my sweet couples.

2. I’m super thankful for the job that I have. I really don’t like calling this a “job” yannow?…it’s more like a passion – and the fact that I can pack up all of my camera gear & editing equipment on a whim & be able to work from anywhere in the world is such a blessing. We’ve been staying with Daniels parents for the past week since he had surgery so they can help me with him if I need it. It’s not easy picking up a 200+ pound man by myself sometimes lol Also, the fact that I can go to every doctors appointment & be with Daniel constantly truly means the world to me. It’s something I probably wouldn’t be able to do if I worked a 9-5 corporate job. I would have to ration out the time I would take off & etc – I don’t think my heart could handle that. So, I’m just extremely extra grateful for owning my own business especially at this time in our lives.

3. I’m officially addicted to smoothies as of this week! We’ve been drinking one every morning that consists of a ton of healthy veggies + fruit. How come I haven’t made these before?

4. I need a good book to read – what are some of your favorites?

5. Daniel & I want to go camping!

6. We’ve learned that Charlie (our little yorkie) gets completely psychotic when you try to take his bone away from him…and it makes us laugh uncontrollably.

7. I have become obsessed with outdoorsy shows! *Alone, Alaskan Bush People, Mountain Men & etc. * My husband has definitely rubbed off on me and I’m officially wanting to go on an adventure in the wilderness with him and become self-sufficient!

8. Prayer can get you through anything, ya’ll.

Hope you guys have a great week – and remember, life is what you make it! Stay positive! xoxo, Chandy
