Exciting News!

Daniel had his checkup with his doctor.

In July 2015, we headed to Vegas to watch our brother David compete in the American Ninja Warrior finals & kick some butt! After the last night of finals, Daniel told David – “I’m going to be trying out with you!”

The last night of finals, Daniel was having excruciating pain & after we flew home, he was diagnosed with cancer just a few days later. The world stopped & the unknown was so scary…to say the least.

A little over a year ago, Daniel went through several rounds of chemo, had a couple surgeries & lastly, had a massive surgery that went down in textbook history at MD Anderson (according to his Dr!).

Over this past year & 1/2(ish), he’s been healing. He’s overcome obstacles, had many check ups & he has continued to hold the title of the most amazing man I’ve ever know.

In the meantime, he’s also been getting stronger & gaining the strength back that the chemo + surgeries took from him. Little by little, step by step….he was getting there. He never gave up & never lost his zest for life or his amazing + positive attitude along the way! A couple months ago, he started training again & pushed himself to get better to hopefully have the opportunity to run the ANW course & win the million dollar prize!

Well, a few weeks ago, Daniel got the call from the American Ninja Warrior producers that he was one of the chosen few, along with his/our brother David, who will be able to compete in the ANW San Antonio qualifiers together in just a couple of weeks!

Fast forward to today, when we met with his Doc – he gave us amazing news…Daniel is still in remission, his numbers are great & his Cat Scan looked perfect!

No matter what happens on that course, I will always be your biggest fan, hunni!

I can’t wait to see Daniel & David finally get to compete together nearly two years later! #TeamYarter#AmericanNinjaWarrior

To say that I’m proud of Daniel would be the understatement of the century.

Thank you Lord for all of your blessings & loving us so much. None of this would be possible without Him! ???????? He’s brought us through one of the darkest times & has blessed us tenfold!!
