I mean, it’s just not everyday that we get to shoot a wedding that makes us forget that we’re actually still in Texas! Marissa & Ben’s wedding did though & it took me back to when I was in Paris last summer…awe-struck & admiring all of the gorgeous churches! The San Fernando Cathedral was pretty much a spitting image (in my opinion) of Notre Dame in Paris – just on a smaller scale! When I initially walked up to the cathedral, I couldn’t help but gasp because it was SO beautiful & seriously took my breath away! 🙂 I can’t believe that I’ve lived in San Antonio for 10 years and am just now getting around to seeing this beautiful place! Marissa & Ben are high school sweethearts & they tied the know here!! Ahhh – what a special day we had with them & their families! The entire day it was a downpour! I was sooo bummed that we may not be able to take photos outside in such an awesome location…but guess what!? The rain stopped just as the ceremony was ending and the skies cleared – Hallelujah! lol We were able to get some stunning shots of the entire wedding party & end with Marissa & Ben’s romantic portraits – which are some of my favorite from the day! Their reception lasted late into the night – full of dance competitions, mariachis, yummy cake & lots of love that surrounded them!
