Well, I can officially say that busy season is back-in-action you guys! Daniel & I sooooooooo loved having a slower-ish couple of months during December & January! Daniel has recovered from surgery amazingly & actually just had his follow-up appointment with his doctors at MD Anderson last Thursday. By the way, I will right a more in-depth post about what they said and what our next steps are regarding everything — this is more like a touching base with you guys because I feel like I haven’t blogged in a hot minute about our personal lives and I definitely want to share with you guys the updates regarding Daniel because we have had a lot of people asking & we want you to be in on the loop! 🙂
With that being said, we drove to MD Anderson last Wednesday, spent the night & had his appointments early the next morning! We were busy with those all day and headed home later that afternoon. Friday we met up with the loveliest couple, Haley & Shawn! They drove all the way down from Dallas for their session & it turned out so perfect! I will be sharing more from their session later this week – but here is a teeny-tiny sneak peek 🙂
Saturday was spent getting business stuff done along with a few client meetings and also prepping for the bridal show that we participated in on Sunday! We used the cuuuuuuuuutest vintage furniture from Revive Vintage in Boerne. I mean, seriously ya’ll – our booth looked amazing! There were so many people & other vendors asking to take pictures of our booth & complimenting us on how great it looked. My inner Joanna & Chip was so proud! lol We couldn’t have pulled our vision together without the amazing folks at Revive! Like seriously, if you are getting married and want to make a statement on your wedding day, Revive is the place to go! Not to mention, the owners Jordan & Dylan are just the sweetest people ever! We can’t wait to rock some of their stuff again! Here’s a few iPhone shots of our booth – which the pictures TOTALLY DO NOT do it justice what so ever – but it does kind of give you an idea.
The show was so much fun and it was Daniel’s first time at a show – he loved it and I loved the fact that we could do it together. Nothing is better than getting to live your dream with your most favorite person in the world! We are just so blessed that we get to do this and it’s something that we will never take for granted!
Yesterday (Monday) we were busy being a part of a wonderful team for a styled shoot at the ever-so-gorgeous Prospect House! We worked with other AMAZING vendors who are so awesome at what they do. Morgan with Frankie & Lenee Weddings planned & executed the shoot so perfectly. I can’t help but admire her so much for her attention to detail & how organized she is! 🙂 Bianca with Anthemum created AMAZING florals for the entire day. Like, really – if I wasn’t a photographer, I probably would imagine myself as a florist because I love flowers THAT much! Right as I walked in to the venue, I was so excited to see the colors that Bianca chose!! She has an impeccable eye to detail and can put together an arrangement or huge wall-piece with ease! She is just that great! Mary with My Makeup Movement created a flawless and effortless look on our gorgeous model Ginna! Her & her team created the perfect hair & makeup – it was gorgeous! They are so dang talented! I mean, can I just have you guys do my hair and makeup everyday? (a girl can dream, right?! 😉 Ginna & her hubby Caleb were wonderful models! Ginna rocked the most gorgeous gown from our friends at Beatitude Bridal out of Boerne, Texas! I can’t wait to share more photos & details regarding the awesome vendors we worked with for the shoot – but here is a sneak peek!
Today – I took a deep breath & looked at my to-do list & said “Okay, Let’s do this!” & I also thought…we all have the same hours in a day as Beyonce…okerrrrr?! lol Between editing, back-end stuff for the business, shooting & etc – we’re taking it task by task and trying not to overwhelm ourselves with everything that needs to get done…because I mean let’s be honest here..busy busy season hasn’t really even started just yet – that’s in a few days! But we are oh so excited about it all and ready to celebrate & capture so many amazing moments! Cheers to this Tuesday! I feel like I just wrote a novel…did I? I just missed chatting with you guys! xoxo, Chandy
I have been following your story and I wish you the best in the future. I have a personal question so feel free to not answer, but I’m very curious. What type of medical insurance do you have? I have always provided the insurance for my family, but recently my husband has been considering starting his own business. I am worried about finding affordable insurance if we decided to work on the business (automotive shop) together. Particularly due to having a high risk of cancer in both our families.
