Hi everyone! So, this Monday is extra exciting over here because 1.Daniel started his LAST cycle of chemo today & 2. It’s our 4 year anniversary since we started dating!!! I’m actually sitting in the treatment room next to Daniel right now (he says hi everyone LOL) as I’m typing this post – and I’m just like….whaaaat? How did all of this fly by SO fast!? It seems just like yesterday we were sitting in the initial doctors visit finding out the news. It was the unknown that was really scary. Not knowing what was going to happen, what steps we were going to have to take, and just waiting to find out what our future held was pretty terrifying. But at the end of the day, we knew that we weren’t in control at all, it was Jesus who has been guiding us down this path courageously & if it weren’t for Him, we’d probably be a hot mess! But as we start this third cycle & are ready to nip this in the butt – I just can’t even believe that we’ve been together for 4 years already today!

The past 4 years with Daniel have truly been 4 of the most amazing years of my life. I still remember our first date so vividly – just like it was yesterday. I still feel the same way as I did the night of our first date…except the feelings are a million times stronger! We went out to grab dinner & see a movie…and afterwards…we truly didn’t want the night to end. So, we drove out to the country & watched the starry sky above us in the bed of Daniels truck & talked all night long…for hourssss & hoursss. I knew after our first date that he was the one for me. No, literally…after our first date I knew that he was the man specifically that God had set aside especially just for me. I came home with a joyful heart & tummy full of butterflies & ran up to my sisters room. Oh, might I add – I was BAWLING my eyes out to the point my mascara was running down my face LOL. She of course thought our date had gone terribly wrong & hesitantly asked me – “Oh, no…what happened?” with a dissapointed look on her face – and I replied…”I’m going to marry him!!!” And after that night, we were completely inseparable…and still are years later. Our love reminds me of that one song by Brad Paisley called “Then”. I thought there was no way I could love him anymore than I did back then….or on our wedding day…but the love I have for him keeps getting stronger & stronger every single day! I love him more today than I did yesterday…and I believe that’s how it’s going to be for the rest of our lives together 🙂 <3

Whether we are out celebrating our anniversary together or sitting here in the treatment room while he’s getting chemo…I couldn’t care less – because we are together!! Nothing in the world compares to being able to spend life with your soulmate. Nothing I tell ya! Everyday is the best day of my life with him & I truly consider myself the luckiest girl in the world! Sometimes, people spend their whole lives looking for a love like ours and I haven’t & will never take it for granted for as long as I live.

I could go on & on about how much I love my husband & how obsessed we are with each other & all of that mushy stuff that nobody cares about except us haha – so I will stop here and spare you & say this…

At the end of the day, it’s not about what happens in your life…it’s about who you are able to spend your life with through it all!
