Today was a much needed break from the office! I think you can only take so much editing until you feel like your eyeballs could just fall out onto your keyboard! I also think that it helps you re-focus and get your creativity bug back. Plus, we all would rather be shooting than sitting behind our computers…right? 😉 So, today was the perfect day to do that…and it was completely unexpected! I headed to Dennise’s bridal session in Austin this morning at 5am & was there in time to catch the early morning sun…it was beautiful. After that, my grandma and I hung out and we decided to head out to the vineyards on a whim. We had the BEST time. I just love her! Since I had my camera with me after my bridal shoot, I decided to take it along with me to snap some photos of our day out together…which is something that I NEVER do. I always capture special moments for other people and don’t nearly do it enough for myself! Which today, I vowed to change that. We had a delicious bottle of red wine – it’s a little sweet, but oh-so-perfect! I’m not a red wine drinker usually, but I think this bottle may have just changed that all for me. Wowzers. Texas wine = Yummy! We ended up getting a cheese tray with smoked sausage and crackers & talked all afternoon long. Can’t you just talk to your grandma for hours on end? I always love hearing about her childhood & her life growing up. Plus, she always seems to make things so simple. She’s one of my happy places and I just love to be around such a wonderful lady. After we had girl talk, we trotted the property and gazed in amazement at the gorgeous sunny day God gave us together. Lastly, we ended up passing by the famous Studebaker Farms. I busted a quick U-turn and we picked up a few baskets of peachy heaven! It was a really special day with my Grandma that I will definitely cherish forever! 🙂 Here are a few photos from our lovely day at Becker Vineyards in Stonewall, Texas.
So glad you spent a day refreshing your soul. And you spent the afternoon with one of my favorite people!
Love your blogs!
Happy day,
Cheryl
