Coffee with Chandy

Guess what guys! I’m starting a new series on my blog & I’m so excited about it!!! Ever since I was younger – I would go and visit my grandma a few times a week & we would have coffee every morning together in her living room or out on her patio & just chat about our day, our week, our lives – just everything under the sun! There’s just something about a good cup of coffee that brings people closer and it’s the perfect time to chat about life. The good, the bad, the fugly, the crazy, the silly, the overwhelming, the “I’m so happy, I could cry” type of things that life blesses us all with. Not to mention, I may or may not be a #CoffeeAddict and have a slight obsession with cute coffee mugs! 🙂 I chose to name this series “Coffee with Chandy”! Chandy is my nickname that all of my family & close friends call me & I want you guys to feel like you know me well enough to call me that too! Plus, for some reason people can pronounce Chandy way easier than Chandra. Don’t ask me why – it’s just this thing that people have a hard time with LOL!

At the end of 2014, as I was making a list of my goals for this year – one of them was to let my friends & followers of my work get to know me more – not just as a wedding photographer – but as a person! It just makes life more enjoyable when you know who is behind something that you invest your time into. Every MONDAY – there will be a new post titled – “Coffee with Chandy” – I’ll be talking about my weekend, my hubby, my life – just anything that is on my heart, really. In the past, I’ve just kind of blogged here and there randomly throughout the week, but now, I’ll be saving all of my more personal posts for Monday mornings 🙂 So, without further adieu, consider this my first post of the series!

Coffee with Chandy:

This weekend was full of R&R & family time! I’m soaking it up before my busy wedding season starts next month. My sister, Trae, came over Friday and we had a slumber party at our casa! We went grocery shopping, talked about our goals, life, love & watched Netflix all night! haha :p Saturday morning we woke up bright eyed and hit the gym…I’m on my fitness journey to becoming the healthiest version me! And that’s for a whole different blog post – but it’s a great feeling when you are working towards your goals 🙂 I live about an hour  & 1/2 away from Trae, so it is such a treat to have her come & stay with Daniel & I. My heart sinks every time she has to leave though. On Sunday – Daniel & I headed over to Jordan (My other sister…we are triplets if you didn’t know) & Cory’s house to watch the Superbowl! GO PATS! Well, I didn’t really watch the game…I was just there for the commercials & moral support for my hubby! hehe Then, this morning I came home to this awesome plaque on my doorstep!!!

I don’t think I have done an official blog post to let you guys know – I won The Knot’s 2015 BEST OF WEDDINGS!!!! Ahhhh – I am so ecstatic & filled with joy! Honestly, I could not believe it! I am so blessed to be able to do what I love – and it’s all because of my amazing clients that I am even here being able to live out this dream of mine. They are so wonderful & I just love & adore each & every one of my couples that I get to work with. This just started off my Monday the right way! Wooohoo!

Things I’ve learned from this week:

– Family time is the BEST time

– You’re never too busy to have a much needed Netflix night

– Where you invest your love, you invest your life. This goes for the relationships you hold, your business & etc…so make sure they are worth it & make you happy!

– The Superbowl commercials this year were a bummer :/

This week, I’ll be researching some things to help me re-brand my business! I’ve done everything from scratch, so it will be great to have a pro take a look at my website & give it a facelift! lol I hope you all have enjoyed your weekend – and just remember – Monday’s are always something to look forward to!
