Seriously, I’m just overflowing with gratitude! Ahhh! It’s been a busy weekend for me – I was able to capture a proposal on Friday evening on top of the Tower of America – super cool! On Saturday, I shot a wedding for an amazing couple – Katie & Ryan – with my awesome assistant Laura & today (Sunday) I was able to shoot an engagement session of the couple I shot the proposal for on Friday night. Then, they book me for their wedding photographer this morning for this November! Ahhh can’t wait. They are just the most awesome couple ever. So much love & happiness all around, I truly can’t believe that I get to call this my job.
So, even though it’s day 4, I’m writing this for DAY 3 because I didn’t have time to write it yesterday…and I’ll write another post later on today for day 4.
I have been prayyyyyying to find a field of wildflowers somewhere that wasn’t enclosed by barbed wire..I FINALLY saw one! So, on the way to the wedding yesterday, I let out a high-pitched screech and immediately did a U-Turn and told Laura we HAVE to stop. It was absolutely BREATHTAKING. I seriously sounded like a little schoolgirl..I was SO excited! And if you know me, I get spazmatically-excited about things easily hehe š So, we pretty much danced in the field of flaming red indian paintbrushes. The field was COVERED in them. I don’t think there was an empty spot anywhere in the acre of land we were on. It was about 1pm, and I absolutely never shoot mid-day because the sun is so harsh, it causes terrible shadows (as you can see in the photo below) …but, I just couldn’t resist & there are always exceptions š Oh, and I don’t think I’ve ever been photographed with a camera in my hand…so, this was kinda cool. The picture totally doesn’t do the wild flowers beauty justice..
I’m thinking about going back to this location to take some more shots…of Lord knows what…but I just want to go back. I might take my hubby and make him be my model š Day 3 of #100HappyDays was well, very happy! and amazing. Hope you all are feeling the same!
xoxo
Oh my!! What a beautiful field, where is this!?
Hi Chandra,
Can you tell me where this is? Also, what are some of your favorite spots in San Antonio to shoot?
Thanks,
Rachel
